alternator whine under load

alternator whine under load
02 civic, alternator started to whine under load only: With lights on, or AC on around 2-4 k RPM's
Stock radio, etc. I DO NOT hear it through radio, its coming from alternator.
Any ideas? worry about it, or let alone?
