Power Window Help...
Power Window Help...
I've got a 2002 Civic 4 dr EX. Roughly 160,000 on it.
My driver side front window has been slow when rolling up for quite some time...
Tried to roll it up the other day, and heard a loud pop. And it wouldn't roll up at all after said loud pop. Was almost completely lowered when it stopped.
I am assuming I need a new window motor/regulator.
Have looked at DIYs on this form, and it appears it's not too bad a job when the window is up and the bolts line up with the holes in the door frame. However, if they aren't lined up, looks like it could get a little tricky. Any insights/tips/hints or other sage advice that would help me with this?
Thanks guys.

Re: Power Window Help...
very easy. i did it by myself, but it helps to have a second person. just unbolt the window glass holder, manually pull up the window completely in its channels, and put some tape to hold it from falling. unbolt the motor and regulator, remove thru the door holes, and install the new one. lower back the window and rebolt the holder. the only tricky part is making sure the window is in both side tracks when rebolting. the regulator bolts in no problem.
