2001 LX revving by itself

I was driving and I came to a stop sign, and as I put in the clutch, i noticed my engine was revving by itself up to about 2k-3k. Its done it once before about a month ago, but it didn't last for more than about two minutes. Today it was doing it my entire way home from work. I stopped and pulled off to the side, turned off my car and let it sit for about five minutes. I started it again and it wasn't doing it, but I'm still pretty concerned about it. Any thoughts?

It could be your IACV going bad, small vacuum leak or something. Have you disconnected the battery lately could be just needs an idle relearn who knows especially since it doesnt do it all the time.
