Honda civic trans troubles ~price 2 sell? Hi! A few months ago my 2002 honda civic lx started having trans problems. I took it to the honda dealer and they told me I would need to replace the transmission, since then I have a bought a new car and my honda has just been sitting in the driveway. I have been thinking about selling it but I have no idea what I should be asking for it. I am hoping someone would be able to help me. It is an lx and has a 155000 miles on it. Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!

my 05 civic had the transmission go on it. I bought a used tranny from an auto wrecker for $400 and did the swap myself.
I don't know if you have the facilities/time/ability to do your own swap but it took me a few days and it will be much easier to sell and you will get a lot more money for it if the tranny works.
