Internal fans not working

Hey,

I have a 2003 Civic SE Sport and the internal fans have just suddenly stopped working...Engine Fans are ok and AC still appears to be working as the AC switch lights up when pressed and when driving at speed the air being naturally forced through the air system gets colder.

Rotating fan control on the dashboard appears to now do nothing.

Have checked all fuses etc and are all ok. Wife's uncle runs a garage & did a power check on the line to the internal fans from the battery, when he touched the power line for the fans directly from the battery they came on at full whack.

could it be that the dashboard control has broken? or is it something more. Any help would be appreciated cos having no forced air means using my car is a very hot & sticky affair at the moment

Simple to check if you have an Ohm meter.
