painting my 01 civic
im gettin ready to paint my 01 civic but i think i am going to paint it black instead of repainting it white and i was curious to i have to change my title or registration if i do this?

Would I...no. As long as you have the same vin number your good for insurance claims. I would just wait until I re reg the car and change it then. And the hell with the title.
