Got 130K on my 04 MT, I'm up to date on maintenance,tire pressure, driving like a grandma etc but she feels a bit sluggish and my mpg has gone down a bit. I've been reading through threads on this forum and others about fuel system cleaners. Can someone with real insite on this subject clear up a few questions for me.

Is there an additive that works/has proven results?....Too many mixed reviews out there.

For the prof route, is there a difference between a stealership fuel system clean and a minuite lube job. I mean is the process the same for both?

when i worked at walmart they had a fuel injection cleaner service. it was like 20 bux but my gf worked in the garage so i got it for free. it did seem to help a bit an it deff brought the mpg up. i dun think i would have paid for it but im very distrusting of these quick fix things. but honestly it did bring the mpg up an seemed to give it a bit bit more pep but that could have been the ole but dyno. ps my 01 had 120k on it when we did it

I've used STP's complete fuel system cleaner. It seemed to bump my mileage up a bit (from 30 to 34ish)

only fuel cleaner i would use is FP-plus from lubecontrol.com and yes it works. for the oil, if your engine is in bad shape, try auto-rx.com first. then go to LC20 for good condition engines.

Thanks guys, thats quite the backstory there Gold Ghost.

I've heard alot of mixed reviews on the STP stuff so I might try the lubecontrol.com additive - I've only read/heard good things about it so far.
