Hi, Im looking for a first car and i want a good used civic si. Ive been looking around on craigslist and seen a few 2002 si coupes.
Now to my understanding through reading wikipedia and review sites... there was only a 2002 civic si hatchback?

Am I mistaken or are these cars not showing the correct year?
Some ads say they have a 1.7L engine and others say they have a 2.0L engine and I understand that the 2.0L engine is the 160hp one which is what I want. But what about the 1.7L engines as I cant find any info on those models. Are they advertising the right year or what?

since you're in canada, the civic si is the equivalent of the US civic ex. The canadian civic SIR is the equivalent to the US civic si

the canadian si/US ex has the 1.7L SOHC vtec engine

the canadian sir/US si has the 2.0L DOHC i-vtec engine.

The models that (i think) stay the same are the lx/dx models, which have a 1.7L SOHC non-vtec engine
