idk wats goin on wit my car, my ac blows hot as it is idling but wen im driving it gets cold. checked the fan and its working, freon is full

isnt that normal? the compressor works better when the rpms are up. every car ive driven blows warm at idle and cold on the highways.

Unless its blowing hot air like as if you had the temp up, that is normal. Mine blows coldest on the highway when the rpms are higher while stop and go traffic will still blow cold air but not as cold as on the highway. Though I only use a/c maybe 20 days a year so I'm not the best judge.

also our cars (and i think pretty much every car) use a cycling compressor that turns on and off every so often. so when it turns off, you are not getting cold air but just what is already circulating in the car. on a hot day, sometimes the a/c will not even be able to keep up, since everything is already so hot (vent ducts, engine bay, etc).

replace the thermostat and check your antifreeze level.
