Two Spun bearings help
Two Spun bearings help
2001 honda civic black 155xxx miles.
Always had my car serviced on time. This time it must of had a leak It still had two thousand more miles left till its next oil changed and there was none and I had no clue till I got a knock in my engine. So I got it home towed it too the garage.
Dropped the oil pan took out all the bearings main and rod.
Two bearings were spun rod 1 and 4 or maybe 2 and 4 can't remember.
The crank has a micro scratch on it where the first bearing spun. I'm thinking that you could almost polish it with your finger and a small pad or maybe even sand it lightly.
You think its safe to just replace the bearings?
Where Can I get a set of main and rod bearings with oil pan gasket? Can I order these parts from my local Honda dealer? Thanks guys.
