Rough idle and slipping acceleration..
I have a 2000 honda civic dx sedan automatic.I have around 204,000 miles
A couple of weeks ago the timing belt snapped so I had that replaced. But ever since then I have noticed 2 things. 1)the steering wheel and dash shake pretty bad when im at a light or just idle and 2) When i accelerate from 30-40 guess from 1st to 2nd ..It revs really hard then slips for a sec before continuing. My question is could the mechanics have messed up my car when installing the new timing belt? I asked someone and i was told that the shaking could be due to the timing or bad motor mounts but what about the acceleration problem.? Any help would be appreciated as i dont know much about cars so i want to be someone informed before i take it somewhere to get looked at again. Thanks!

Re: Rough idle and slipping acceleration..
the timing may be off slighty. what did they do to the motor? if a belt snaps, you cant just put a new one and be finished. im sure you bent some valves too.
