Rebuilt Transmission for 2001 Civic
Rebuilt Transmission for 2001 Civic
My sister-in-law has a 2001 Civic LX with a manual gearbox. The tranny has been making some awesome sounds when the clutch is engaged. I have a buddy who is a mechanic check it out and he replaced the input shaft bearing and the noise was still there. He also checked out the clutch disc and pressure plate and all is good. He got an opinion from a transmission friend and was told that we need a rebuilt tranny.
I check some out at the local shops here and I found a low mileage 2004 Civic tranny. This will drop in the 2001 fine, right? I figured it would since they are both a seventh gen civic. Thoughts?
