Gash in tire sidewall, need new tires.
Gash in tire sidewall, need new tires.
I have a 2005 Civic EX. The front right tire has a gash in the sidewall. And all tires are pretty bald. I'm not sure if they are the originals, but I have 46k on the civic now.
I'm needing a new set of tires, they don't have to be the best performer, but something safe, cheap in price, and doesn't affect the mpg
Size is 195/60/15
My sister just got Kumho Solus KH16 in that same size, and havent heard any complaints. Id like to stay under $350 for 4 balanced and installed.
Any opinions?

check tirerack.com, its much cheaper to buy tires from them and then bring it to the shop for mounting so you dont get ripped on the price. shops charge hundreds more for the same tire to make more $$. and they have reviews there for different tires.

Thanks. I've actually been looking there, saw that the kh16 had a few reviews and they were okay, toyos had no reviews. I was hoping to find some input specifically for civics here. The prices for the tires + shipping were almost comparable to what I can get around here installed.
