what would be the best performance engine for 2001 civic lx? please help

i just have the stock engine 1.7l 4 cylinder with 210,000 miles.. I've been researching performance engines for a while now, but cant decide what one to buy... i like the k20 engine, also the f20 but then i would have to get a k series transmission, the b18c is good too i think. but what do you guys think? what engine would take the least amount of modifications to drop in? what engine will give me the most horsepower? quickest engine?
I'm tired of racing stuck up people who have a v6 mustang with little over 200 hp, they say no civic will beat a stock mustang... i always have to show them youtube videos, but i want to show them up in a real race.
also durability is a big thing, i put on a lot of miles so the engine needs to last.

lol how do you think that will ever happen? k20 is the easiest and most common motor swap and you will get around 20-22 mpg.

well the only engine that will actually fit without major modification is the k20 with hasport motor mounts. the b18 is illegal in a 2001 and far as i know only one person was able to swap it in with months of custom fabrication.

B18C would be nice, but yeah, you would probably have to go get an illegal smog done on it. lol. K20 is your best bet.
