well then i think the headgasket wasnt done properly or the head wasnt milled flat so it just blew again. was the head checked for compression before putting it back on? may be a problem with the head itself if it cracked. head should always be resurfaced and tested for compression, cracking, etc and cleaned up.

When you do a compression test and find a problem it is usually a good idea to do both 'wet' and 'dry'. Do the dry test first which is the standard compression test. Then for the wet test squirt about a tablespoon of engine oil in each cylinder before testing compression again. If the rings are good, you will see a small increase in the reading because the oil seals better than the rings alone but not a large amount. If you have a cylinder with a low dry reading and the oil causes it to be about the same as the others, you have bad rings in that cylinder. If the oil causes little change in the reading for the bad cylinder it is either the valves or the head gasket as mentioned.
It really doesn't matter if it's gasket or valves, the head will probably have to come off. It is possible to replace the valve stem seals without removing the head but this usually shows up more as burning oil and blue smoke rather than loss of compression.
