took off that stupid exhaust heat shield (the one above the catback pipe where the resonator is) it was rattling like crazy even when tight. now my rsr exhaust has tons of room and i have greatly reduced rattling! i dont think that shield is important for anything, my pipe is already painted flat black and that keeps the heat in well enough. and the floor doesnt even get hot at all. i thought about removing the cat converter upper shield too (it still has the two shields around the actual cat to keep it warm), but i may just leave it for extra heat insulation. cat needs to be as hot as possible to work.

aren't you supposed to just pull it up and over as you push that wire in so it will lock the bulb in place? Hope that helps.
Re: What Did U Do To Your Civic Today Thread.
Finally, i got the bulb in, after 3 days of trying i got it in without taking the headlight off and bumper, it was pain in the *** tho...

gonna try and change the coolant. i need to buy some from honda, and a container. hopefully it fits without jacking up the car. all i plan to do is drain the radiator, then use a siphon pump to drain the reservoir as much as possible. so long as most of it comes out i will be happy. any problems i should watch for? is coolant gonna gush out everywhere? and who takes used coolant for disposal...i will post back whether its a success or fail.

It should automatically scroll down to the coolant flush portion. That's pretty much how I did mine, except I couldn't get that bitch-of-a-bolt out to drain the block of coolant, so I just flushed the system with water twice and emptied it through the radiator petcock and called it good.
My buddy works at a local Pennzoil quickie oil change place and he says they'll take used coolant. Pretty sure any place that offers the service will take it

yay success lol. it was actually really easy, cost around $35. i got a gallon of honda blue coolant for $15, and a siphon pump with pumper for around $14, and a small 1 gallon container with open top. be sure it will fit under your car if its lowered. my car is lowered and i was able to do this without jacking up the car! i waited a few mins til the engine cooled down, then siphoned out the coolant in the overflow tank. got most of it out and its a ton easier than taking the tank out. then i put the bucket underneath the radiator and opened the ****. theres a small cutout in the bottom plastic water shields. just stick your hand in and unscrew it. leave it screwed in a bit so coolant doesnt gush out. let the container fill half way, then empty it out and drain the rest. i had an empty coolant jug i poured the old stuff in and took it back to dealer. once everythings drained, twist on the **** and refill the overflow tank and the radiator - slowly! once its full, start the engine with the cap off and warm it up with light revving. keep adding coolant to keep it full. watch as bubbles escape. turn the heat on full blast and wait 5-10 mins. turn the ac on for a bit too to make sure all the coolant is circulating. once no more bubbles, put the cap back on and turn the car off. drive around a few times and check the coolant once everythings cold. make sure radiator and overflow are both full.
i did not loosen the engine drain plug, as the coolant coming out was already in good condition. having a lil leftover wont hurt anything. and i will prolly do another drain in a couple yrs.

tried two more times today on an incline and finally gave up. nothing else is coming out but i still hear the water noises inside the cabin. so im just gonna drive around for a while and try again in a few weeks. i think i got alot of it out at least so the engine wont overheat.
also washed civic and accord today. sucks washing cars in the winter.
