Re: Carfax report request
I guess I should add its got a header+cold air intake+lowering kit installed. its had an issues with the head gasket failing, and the motor has been replaced.
I'm really looking for a commuter car that doesn't bore me to death during a two hour daily trek.
I know civics have a good rep with dependability, but is that still true after the above modifiations?
Thanks in advance,

Re: Carfax report request
any car will have its problems. there are just too many parts and alot can fail. and yeah civic isnt the fastest car by any means lol.
Re: Carfax report request
Buyer beware, I know.
This civic should be faster than the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 I'm using now, and more economical too.
I've counted about 4 main speed traps in my daily route. It should be fun. I've been toying with the idea of getting a radar detector, but I doubt the effectiveness because of the twists in the road.
Anyone have a time where a good detector saved them a ticket?

Re: Carfax report request
most detectors these days are useless cause cop will not leave the laser/radar on all the time but rather just shoot it once at a car for a second. many cheap detectors will not even pick it up, expensive ones do but if he picked you then its already too late. usually cops avoid giving themselves away by only shooting at the really fast cars like 15mph+ over the limit.
