02 sensor heater circuit malfunction p1166
ok techies, any assistance here would be greatly appreciated, but i dont know if anyone will be able to help or not since this is relatively uncharted waters.
a little background:
kpro
01 civic lx converted to ex
boosted
using prb configuration with heated o2 widband from factory wired in with a relay(thanks skipbarber)
diagnosis:
checked for voltage all the way from ecu(2.38v cold, running) to before connector(2.38v) to after connector(2.38v). this is a brand new bosch sensor and should(yes i know) not be bad. im wondering if this is just a problem related with kpro not liking it wired the way it is, or if the sensor itsself is actually bad....
and yes, i realize i can just turn this off

im having a simliar problem with my 2002 civic ex, i bought 2 brand new o2 sensors from honda dealer and after i installed the front o2 the code P0131 went away and it was just the P0141 secondary o2 code that was left, i then installed the secondary o2 and then when i recheck codes its telling me both are bad. i dont know what to do now im stumped i was wondering if maybe i should swap them around ? the link where i bought them from majestic honda is below correct me if im wrong is no 18 the front o2 and 19 the rear o2 ?

these are the correct bosch sensor numbers and what i have on my 2k2 ex for almost a year with no engine light. they must not be switched, they are both different sensors.
primary (in downpipe) 13532
secondary (in cat) 13534

I'm having the same issue as well. I'm running a K-Swapped civic using K-Pro. Try doing this. Disable P1167 in the closed loop section, and it should get arid of your P1166 code. Except now it should be pulling up a P0134 code if we have the same problem. If we in fact do have the same problem, then i can help you out with going forward with it.
Also don't replace the sensor with anything besides a factory OEM one. The primary should be wideband and the secondary should be narrowband.
