Trunk/Gas Tank Release Cable - Warranty?
Hi all,
I'm new to the forums, so forgive me if I'm asking this question in the wrong place.
Recently, the trunk/gas tank release cable snapped on my 2006 Civic Coupe. Seeing as it's a 2006, I still have until June 2009 on my 3-year bumper to bumper warranty.
Wouldn't something like this be covered under warranty? The technician said that it snapped due to the cold weather (I live in Toronto, Canada).
Long story short, it cost me $215 to have the cable replaced, but I just don't understand why something like this wouldn't be covered under warranty.
Could anybody please shed some light on this situation?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Trunk/Gas Tank Release Cable - Warranty?
Those cables break all of the time, they always have, it is a defect from honda. They break right were the lever attaches to the cable. Honda should replace that under warranty.
