Opinions on Resale
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, wasn't sure where to post so I figure posting in the General forum is safe enough.
I'm looking to sell my 2003 Civic LX coupe and everything seems fine except the compressor for the A/C. I brought it to my mechanic and he said simply that it's no good and is getting me a quote today on roughly how much it'll cost. (I'm assuming anywhere from $500-$950)
My question is if it's worth it to fix the problem when I'm trying to sell the car anyway? Also, how much do you think I could get for it?
(2nd owner, 75k miles, auto tranny)
Mods include a kit, angel eye headlights, kenwood amp, 17" Enkei's wrapped in yokohama parada's but I figured I'd put the oem wheels back on and part out the rims separately. I also did some wiring of LED lights for aesthetic purposes inside the car but something easily removable.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated. =]
(On a diff note, if anyone has a carfax acct and could run a VIN# for me, it'd be greatly appreciated. I could throw over a couple $ via PP if you'd like.)

Re: Opinions on Resale
get that compresser fixed, mine went last summer and as i was at a stop light, i could see smoke comming out from the hood from it. So if you sell the car and as they drivie the car car home and it starts smoking, you might have a lil problem.
also for cost on selling, it depends on if you sell privately, trade in or sell it to a used car dealer. but you'll get more if you sell private
