Idle Problem
Idle Problem
I have an 02 civic, was working fine no problems.I had to change the battery and after that the idle isn't smooth.I disconnected the negative lead for about 10-15 mins.then connected it back, started the car with everything off...let it run for 10-15 mins.switch it off started it again....no change,i'd even go as far as saying...it got a tad worse, what could really be worng.
Like i said worked perfect before the battery change.

Re: Idle Problem
let it warm up first then do the idle relearn. instead of pulling the battery lead, just pull the f/i ecu fuse in the fuse box under the hood. its a 15 amp fuse towards the left side. do that same procedure, just warm it up first see if that helps. if that doesn't help its probably a deeper problem.

Re: Idle Problem
yeah you want to start the process with the car fully warmed up already. that way it idles at normal temp. be sure not to have any accessories on either. heres the fuse to pull to reset the ecu.
