clicking noise

as soon as i release the clutch after engaging in 1st 2nd and 3rd i hear a single click from the front of the car. it happens intermittently but i can make it click at will when im in first and im tappin on the gas to make it jerk. it sounds like a small metal piece hitting somethin i dunno how to explain it. i put it on a hoist and looked under the car for anythin unusual but couldnt find anythin wrong with it.

i got some1 at mr transmission to test drive it and they told me it wasnt a tranny problem but they couldnt figure out where it was makin that noise. i work at a auto shop and i got my boss to test drive it and he didnt even hear it lol possibly because from his old age haha.

some1 plzzz help me out.. this noise is annoyin even tho its probably not a big problem

Re: clicking noise

axle nut(s) loosening off, i had this problem for about 2 weeks, being a mechanic, it was driving me nuts. Honda dont use a cotter pin on the axle nut, they punch into a safety notch, you'll notice its at its most counterclockwise position in the axle notch. The click your hearing is the small amount of play in the axle spline now thats its not at proper torque spec.
