08 Civic Ex Smack nosie when rolling forward from reverse
Brand new 08 Civic Ex, auto transmission. We back out our garage up slight grade. Instant we roll forward a loud smack/grind noise out of tranny. Took to dealer, say it's normal because all 08 Civics on their lot do it.
Please, back up a hill and roll forward if you have an 08 with automatic.
Do you have the same smack noise?
Honda refuses service and diagnosis, only say it is normal for design.

Hey there, im currently work at a honda dealer and we had this issue today, we found the culprit to be the differentail inside the trans and we already got a new transmission on order, sounds like the dealer u went to dont have any real techs

keep your foot on the brake any time before switching gears in an auto while on a hill.
