Tachometer acting up
Tachometer acting up
I own a 2001 Civic EX. The Tachometer on it is acting up. Sometimes it shows 4500 RPMs when the car is in 1st gear and rolling along at like 20 mph. Also when idling in Nuetral the Tachometer will show 2200 RPMs. Sometimes when I accelerate the needle will stutter at 3000 RPMs. I think the gauge is failing. How easy/expensive is it to replace the Tachometer? TIA
Re: Tachometer acting up
I'm pretty sure because the engine noise is quiet. If it were the engine wouldn't the engine noise be louder and the engine temperature be high? It only seems to do it when it is humid out. Another reason why i think it is the gauge.
Re: Tachometer acting up
I would like to keep the car as stock looking as possible. I will keep your suggestion in mind.
