2002 civic air coming through the vents

I drive a 2002 civic dx. when i am one the highway or driving at a higher speed little bit of air comes out of the vents even though the A/C is off. Air is cooler or warmer depending on the location of the ****. What could be the problem? how can i fix it?

Thanks

No problem. Every car does it.

The **** controls the thermostat which is a component that when set to cool opens the thermostat, without the AC on air the passes through that is typically the temperature of the air in the engine bay.

When the thermostat is set to warm the thermostat closes a bit which causes warmer air to get into the system.

While driving, this air is forced into the system naturally and some of it comes through the vents even without the fan on.

The fan **** controls the fan which propels the same air faster.

Hopefully that makes sense. You can close the vents if you like.
