water on windows... need your diagonsis
so, i'm having the same problem as this guy....
http://www.hondacarforum.com/h....html
after rain or a carwash, when i roll down the windows and roll them back up water streaks on the inside of the windows... after a day it will smell nasty if i do the same action... after a couple of days it will dry.
so today i finally got around to taking apart the door panels... and here is what i found.

i found a hole... the dealer where i bought it from said it they fixed it...

it appears that after removing the panel the window no long gets wet (immediately... after a while it did get a little wet)... but not as bad as the drivers side
i did the drivers side w/o removing the panels... and viola! all of this water is on the inside after rolling the window down and back up!!!

is it because of this part of the panel? it shouldn't be since water can't get to it when the window is up... but it apparently does

any ideas as to what should be replaced?

Re: water on windows... need your diagonsis
eh, i had this problem since buying the car 6 yrs ago. water gets in there, the door edge moldings are not perfect and the water already on the window will get inside the door. its really not something you should worry so much about.

I have the same problem with my 01 but there is really nothing to worry about. you can call a honda dealer and ask about replacing the seals thats about all you can do.

so the funky mildew smell is normal too?
are civic seals just crappy? because on my accord it is nice and dry...

no, ur window molding shouldnt be leaking, and if u want to find out what is leaking, gradually tape off parts of the seals at the window, and when water stops coming into the car, ur leak is gone, and u know what to replace, but id say get all the outside window seals

Re: water on windows... need your diagonsis
mildew smell is not normal, its caused by the a/c and only if you leave the recirc button on. use fresh air mode and if you have mildew, blast the heat to kill it.
Re: water on windows... need your diagonsis
mildew smell comes from me rolling down the windows and rolling them back up a day or two after the rainstorm/carwash....
after a year of owning the car i'm quite certain that it is indeed coming from within the panels
