Re: Auto Tranny Flush at 40K !
you can do a couple drain and refills. like do one, drive it around for a day, do another one the next day, until the fluid inside turns red again instead of black.

Okay i just drained/refilled my tranny ! I checked if the fluid is at the right spot on the dipstick and its a little bit a higher than max maybe 1/6 inch not even ...is it okay ???
I'm gonna do a second and a third drain/refill next week because my examen's are coming and i don't have time !
Thanks

okay just make sure you check the level when everything has warmed up to normal temp after driving around and car is still running. very small amount of extra fluid will be fine and you can correct it next time you drain and refill.
Re: Auto Tranny Flush at 40K !
Okay i just when for a ride ( 10min) and i rechecked the dipstick and now its a little bit lower than max.
First time i checked the engine wasn't running and the car hadn't been driven for over 30 mins.
I guess it wont be a problem as long as it stays above the min.
Thanks for your help Gearbox.

What do you guys think ???

Re: Auto Tranny Flush at 40K !
that should be fine so long as its not below min. always check trans fluid when hot, and engine oil when cool. the manual says this too.
Re: Auto Tranny Flush at 40K !
Incase anyone was wondering, the reason why honda says no to a Trans flush machine is because it destroys the clutch packs prematurly. i personally kno that some dealerships will try and sell them to you anyway to make the extra buck(or 150 bucks for that matter). if someone trying to sell you a trans flush, engine flush, or Top engine cleaner as a service item then never return there. honda of america says no. more questions?
