Tranny Flush
ok guys so i bought my car from my mom at 100,000 miles. she didnt beleive in routine maintence. so i had the timing belt changed at Honda, and was very satisfied with their work, even though it was a little more than i wanted to pay. but i now have 112,000 miles on it, and im noticing it is getting really hard to get into first and reverse, since their same gear i figure that the syncro is going out. but if i go have Honda do my tranny flush, what else should i have to do? should i have them replace the syncro to? any help would be great, thanks.
Re: Tranny Flush
there is no real "tranny flush" for a manual like there is an auto. honestly it's as simple a job as an oil change. to replace the syncro's they'd need to rebuild the transmissions and that's some coin right there. it's almost time for the 120K maint which includes plugs. just keep in mind that honda's are easy vehicles to work on and your paying approx. $30hr more at a dealership for work than at an independant shop.

Re: Tranny Flush
DO NOT DO A TRANNY FLUSH!!!!!!
just get the tranny fluid replaced....BUT DO NOT FLUSH.
cuz the chemical liquid they use to flush the tranny will harm the tranny down the road
