is this problem known as common with our car? is honda doing anything about it? mine goes every 40xxxkms

they only go bad that fast when you slam through gears. If you drive tame it should easily go more then 100k miles. Honda wont do anything about this because its mostly caused by the driver and shock loading the transmission...

Now if yours is going bad that often and you drive like a grandma your tranny probably isn't spec'd out right. In that case I would take it up with Honda.
