A/C Problems & Surges
Hey all,
I've been having some problems with my 2k1 Civic EX Automatic. For the last few weeks when I'm running the AC I've had two things happen. First off at idle (red lights and such) I'm having this horrible noise/vibration from under the hood. It doesn't happen all the time, just randomly and the engine seems to vibrate in a weird way. Second of all sometimes when I'm at speed (around 65mph) the vehicle will start surging like I'm taking my foot on/off the accelerator, but I'm not. It's very disturbing and I don't know where to begin looking to fix the problem. I have the short ram Injen installed (not the CAI) but I've had it on for over 15k with no problems until now. Anyone? I would take it to the dealer, but I'm sure they'll just blame it on the intake...

Rep Power: 0 I agree, take off the intake a take it to the dealer. That's why we have a warranty. It could be something as simple as a vacuum leak or your throttle body could be clogged/sticking a little bit. Probably not a big deal since you Check Engine light hasn't come on. Just take it to the deal and leave off the intake.
