Only one thing; and it might not be the best thread to post it int, but the car they're looking at is an SE; this says it's a DX.

Is a Canadian SE the same as an american DX?
And really, what's the difference in models - I hope they didn't just switch the badging on it!

Wow....where do I begin? A Canadian SE is the special edition model. It's a DX with remote entry, CD player and air conditioning so they slap a Special Edition badge on the rear and call it a SE. That's why the Carfax report will come up with DX because that's what the body really is.....and that's equivalent to a USDM HX. Even though your SE was made in the USA......but that's another story.

Secondly, Carfax is a USA reporting tool and hardly shows anything for Canadian vehicles. They don't communicate with Canadian police nor insurance companies to get titles so they don't show up on a Carfax report, you just wasted your money. The service in Canada is called Car Proof, you should never use Carfax in Canada.

Thirdly, the service is free (when I last used it) if you only use it for one VIN. They reimburse your money after 30 days (you read the disclaimer right?) if you only use it for one search, but if you ***** out the service to everyone on the internet then they don't reimburse you anything.
