Yes I know, a lot of people have posted about this issue. I have tried everything below and have not found anything to work permanently. Has anyone actually solved this issue yet or am I going to have to deal with this problem every winter?

Here are the basics:
- I have an 01 Civic (manual transmission)
- This model year has a shift cable connecting the shifter to the transmission
- When it got cold (in Michigan) the shifting started to get really hard
- Can get a smooth shift if I go from 2nd to 3rd to neutral to 3rd.
- Made a couple of posts, found a TSB, replaced the rubber bushings at the transmission
- This seemed to work for a few days...then it got bad again
- Went through this a couple of times
- Spent the $100 to replace the entire shift cable
- This worked for about a week
- Now the shifting is stiff again (typically gears 3, 4, and 5
I really don't think it's the transmission because I can get it to go away for a while. Any help here would be awesome. I have lubricated everything I can think of...nothing seems to make a difference in the long run.

I have had the car for 3 years and this is the first winter I have had this problem.

I'm having a very similar problem with my 01 civic ex manual. I can't get a clean shift without having those problems.

When is the last time you changed the tranny fluid? I used to get tough shifts, then went away after changing the fluid. This was also in FL so cold weather was not a factor.
