Car overheating NEED HELP

OK, so here's the problem, when i start my car its fine and will idle fine...but as soon as i drive around for a short time, my temp gauge goes to "H". Also, my fans are not working either.
Another thing...i recently switched my vtec motor back over to my LX ECU and I dont have my VAFC-II on it yet. Could that be the problem?

And my oil light is on???? Why?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Sorry if I seem dumb...I havent really done much with my 7thgen yet...im still learning.

Ok, have you checked the coolant level in your radiator reservoir? Have you checked your fuses to see if the fan fuse is blown? Have you checked your oil level with the dipstick?

I don't know if the ECU swap would cause anything, but it makes sense that it would if there are sensors that are not being read. Maybe someone who swapped can help better, but check your fluid levels and fuses.

oil is fine, just drained it and put all new in....coolant is good...my overflow is between max and low

could possibly be water pump...i felt the top hose going to the motor from radiator, was hot....felt the bottom and it was cold? sound like the water pump???

make sure the ground for the fans is in check and also check the fan relays and its socket. if the fans dont work, your gonna have some serious trouble down the road, the AC Compressor Fan needs to be on to cool down your compressor, or its gonna burn out and thats a $900 job, i found out the hardway and your radiator fan is whats causing you to be on H.
