Question MIL comes on out of the blue

Hi all. My 2003 Civic Si(Ex) has been flawless up untill today, where my MIL came on, on my way to work. It had come on one time before since this, but I'm almost positive that it was due to my gas cap not being 100% tight. I reset the ECU when this happened and it didnt come back on untill now; being approximatley a month and a week later. The engine sounds like it is running fine, I havent noticed any loss in power or gas mileage and I can go past 4500 rpm; some others stating that they couldnt engage vtec due to this. I do not have a OBD II reader, nor do I know anyone who has one. I really do not want to take the 45km drive to the nearest Honda dealership and pay $50 minimum for a problem that I could possibly fix myself. Should I try resetting the ecu again and see if that fixes it? I fear it will come back on again, if it did the first time. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be would be helpful. I do not have any mod's done to my car, and the most recent change of parts would be the sparkplugs. I put NGK Iridium IX in. The car has 126,000 km's approx.

turbolude is an unknown quantity at this point
Honda has 2 sides to there evap system, the canister side and the fuel tank side...if your code is on the canister side then then the problem lies between the fuel tank and the canister...check for broken evap lines, i believe these lines are under the car, also check for any vacuum leaks under the hood....also remove the purge solenoid and bench test it to see if it works...it may be stuck closed.....

Do you have any diagrams of where I can look exactly. I'm not too knowledgeable on this subject..

Well, I feel like updating this. It seem's as my light went out for a week or two by itself, and then came back on. I was reading other posts regarding this and one suggested that it might be his gas cap that is broken. Im not sure if mine is and if I remember correctly, it didn't make the sound when it releases the pressure. Should I consider trying that? Also, once it get's nicer out, I'm going to go and jack up the rear and check for broken hoses etc.
