why is it doing this?
ok the other day i ran over a nice sized rock that i didn't see. Right after that my battery light and check engine light came on. come to find out a wire came out of my 02 sensor and grounded on my exhaust and fried my alternator. So $500 later the prob is fixed or so i think. Today i was sitting in traffic and the battery light comes on and the car about dies so i give it gas and it goes off. But now the car is idling low and high. What is wrong. I drive a 01 honda civic ex 5speed. Aem intake, aem power pullys, dc sport exhaust

All of the wires seem to be good. The alternator is refurbished. Its not throwing any codes. I'm just lost on this one. And another question why is a alternator for a civic so high?
So when they replaced your alternator did they put your alternator pulley on the "new" alternator? If not, did they at least change the belt to a size that will work with your other pulleys?
The PS pump may not have been replaced as tight as before. Check if the PS belt is tight.
