Angry Taking off rear brake drums

Im trying to change the rear brakes on my girls 2005 Civic and cant get the drums off does anyone know how they come off??? ITS REALLY PISSING ME OFF!!! I took the tire off and shouldnt the drum just slide rite off? I tried using some spray to loosen it up but that didnt work! Someone let me know PLEASE!!! I called the dealer and they said take it into them but if I dont have to I dont want to.

They will come off you just have to hit the living **** out of it with a hammer, and try a screwdriver from the back. If that still does not work I think there is a special tool, autozone would have it as a lone a tool

.... Notice the two holes in the drum? notice how they are threadded? well... If you steal the two bolts holding the brake line to the car (where the split between the solid line and the flexible line is) they fit in to those holes in the brake drum. now if you tighten the two bolts in to the drum, they will slowly push the drum off the hub. Problem solved. just make sure to do one turn on each (alternating) so you dont jam the drum on the hub.

not to sound like an ***, but if you are having this much trouble getting the drums off, you shouldnt even be changing the rear brake shoes. taking the drums off is the easiest part. brake shoes are a pain to change. unless you have done it millions of times before.

yea, i drive pretty hard, i have an 01 and havent changed the drum pads, i just looked at them, and they are still at about half, you should only have to change them at most at every other front pad change.
