hey, i need some help, my car is making this grinding sound between 1500-2500rpm when i let the gas go. it started from no where, i was wondering if this happened to anyone? or anyone know where its comming from? like its nothing hitting the ground cuz it makes that noise when driving and parked

the motor is all stock, all i have is 3" exhaust, and air intake

Sounds like a rattle, did you check the intake and exhaust?

it may be the exhaust rattling.. thats what it kinda sounds like.. jack it up (if you have access to a lift, that'd be more preferrable) and grab the exhaust pipe and find out how much play you have in your exhaust..

but 3" on a n/a civic...? a bit excessive, no...? unless you're planning on going boost in the near future...

i didnt put the 3" on, i bought the car used and it came with 3" exhaust so i dont know how much it cost, but yah, im not goign to turbo, but its super loud, i want to get somethign smaller

yea man.. i'd say change the 3" exhast.. if anything, go for a 2¼" at max, especially if you're not planning on running boost..

but definitely check your exhaust and intake.. it could be either/or. from the video clip, it sounded too far away to be the intake, but don't rule it out. if its not bolted in nicely/the bracket holding it down (if it exists.. lol) doesnt support the intake, it could rattle against something..

^^^^That is what I was going to suggest. Or with the 3" exhaust it very well may be a rattle. I have that problem with a 2.5" exhaust
