heres a few pics, of whats left of the intake, it was my fiance's and caught fire as a result of grounding to the starter, oh, and its AEM by the way, anyone heard of this happening, it was on an 02 ex

yes.

this is why you tie down your intake. I don't even know how it got close to your starter wires ... it sparked on the big thick wire **** that connects to the starter, correct?

proper installation would have prevented this

i agree, the CAI was already installed when purchased from the dealership, so i didnt even check to see that it was properly installed, i really think its the dealerships fault, but i just talked to AEM and i think they are going to warranty it out for me
