Unhappy Loose steering

Hey there, I just have a question about my steering. Over the last while, it seems like my steering is alot looser that it used to be. I drove my friends new mazda3 and when you turned the wheel even a bit, it responded. It seems like mine is so soft and loose. When I am on the highway, the steerinig shakes some, but not too bad when you go over 110km. Any advice would be great!

Have you checked your tire air pressure lately? Low pressure can make the steering even more slushy than usual. It may also account for the wheel shaking at higher speeds. Check the pressure and the wear since it may be a slight alignment issue also.

The pressure in my tires is right, what else could it be?

your best bet is to make sure everything on your suspension and steering is tight.

steering wheel shakes most likely from an out of balance tire/wheel. The loose feeling could be from the tire just being plain OLD. As tires age and get driven on the side walls get weak and soft and can cause a loose feeling. And also what Streetglower said is also a likely senario
