Scuffed/worn area on side of rear struts lower section

Was wondering if anyone has experienced a spot worn in the outward side lower section of the rear struts ?? Both sides have the same type wear, passenger side is more pronounced. It is down to metal.

My car is an 05 sedan with factory fat fives and standard RE-92s 195/60 15s

I first noticed the problem at about 30k, The dealership said it was not a problem. (but at least I have it documented with them) Just wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience.

My front passenger side strut had a leak and they replaced both fronts.

Thanks for any input.

Its probably just the dust shield rubbing. I wouldn't worry about it unless its making noise.

No problems noticed, Just thought it weird to go clear to bare metal. Car has never saw any serious rough roads.
