p code = p1248 - need help!!

Ok, my check engine light came on and I took the car to vip. They read the OB II code with their generic tester and came up with:
P1457 EVAP Emission Control System Leak Detected (Control Canister System)
as well as P1248. What is the P1248? It isn't listed anywhere?
Also, is that canister pretty easy to replace? Anyone know of it's exact location?

Also, will just replacing the canister fix the problem or could this code be related to something else?

Hey p1 codes are manufacture specific so you would have to go to the Local honda dealer or a honda specialty shop that has access to honda codes but p1 codes are only available at the specific dealer.

that code relates to the evap system so the canister may or may not be the issue. there are several components that honda uses in the evap system. so its a long shot. it could be the canister, shut off valve, purge valve, gas cap loose, leaking lines, leaking fuel tank, etc.....

now you can clear the code and see if it comes back later on. with this code, you have to drive 2 consecutive drive cycles before it will come back on if there is a fault. basically there is a set driving procedure for this code to come back.
