Front drivers side clunk/knock strut area

I have read all the noise threads on this, but mine is different. I have had the struts replaced twice because of the "popping" sound...this is different.

In the morning when the car is still cold I'm driving out of my neighborhood at around 30mph. When I go over tiny little humps in the asphault there is a fast clunking sound. I don't think the strut is bad.

If I could compare this sound..it would be like the plastic boot around the strut is rattling, but like I said it's only when the car is still "cold" then it goes away.....WTF?

Please advise

best thing to do is jack up the car and check everything in that area. check to make sure ever bolt is tight. check the bushings on the control arms.
