just because you did the brakes a few weeks ago doesnt mean a brake noise wont come back. its possibly a pebble or something got lodged in between the pads and rotors. you need to check everything again.
you may be right ..atleast im hoping so..i dont ever hear it on the free-way when i slow down...just at low speeds.
I have the same issue!!!
I am experiencing the same thing with my 2002 civic.
When I am braking slowly, like in bumper to bumper traffic, my brakes make this loud creaking noise. I plan to pull off the tires and inspect the brakes this weekend.
I hope we can find the solution to this annoying problem.
JonJon81,
If you find the fix, private message me....
If I figure it out, I'll message you with the details...

Update....
So, today I went throught the procedure for replacing the brake pads. I basically cleaned the caliper assembly with brake cleaner, took out the pads, cleaned the reatiner clips, inspected the pads, rotor and caliper assy; then put everything back together. I used a 'caliper' to measure the thickness of the rotors. Both rotors were about 20mm thick. I tried to read the stamp displaying the minimum thickness, but it was very hard to read. I am pretty sure I should replace the rotors as soon as possible.
Anyone know the minimum thickness for stock rotors (i think it said 19mm)?
Anyone know how thick new rotors usually are?
Anyway, I didn't notice any problems, other than the thickness. So, I will see if my problems still exists, and keep sumitting updates.
