Is this Murphy's Law or what!

Spring break starts for me and my g-friend this week and because we don't have enough money to go to Orlando this year she suggested we go to New Hampshire to see my parents and because she has never been. I said okay, and it was on.
But here's the catch.... i want to leave tonight and just a few days ago, my ABS light came on. So naturally i went to the dealership to stifle the problem quickly. But to no evail. All they did for me was print out a paper saying that my ABS sensor was destroyed (distroyed, SC spelling), i have severe flat spots in both rear tires, and to top it all off, my altenator belt has huge chunks taken out of it!!
WTF?!?!?!
This kind of stuff always happens at the worst possible time, ALWAY!!

And to top it all off, i can't even imagine why any of this stuff began to fail, have any of you had any problems like mine?

Man I feel for yah, I guess I'm not the only one who has problems when it comes to timing.

You say you have flat spots on the rear tires? I guess that happened after the ABS went out. I can't even think of what could have happened to your belt. Well if theres a bright side to any of this at least your in Myrtle Beach, thats not half bad, and I guess you'll have time to drop your car off to get it fixed. My suggestion is to buy a cheap Blender from Wal Mart and a bottle of Cuervo, Margarita mix, salt, limes and some ice, and try to make the best out of your break. Man to be 21 again................................

Oh if you need a good Rum Runner recipe let me know

What does having flat spots on the rear tires have to do with the ABS system? Isn't that due to alignment, or suspension, or rims and balancing problems?

If the ABS isn't working and he slams on the brakes the rear wheels will lock up, thus resulting in flat spots on the tires. Now he must really be brakeing hard or the rear brakes are over adjusted and the ABS adjusts for that.

Ya, that's what I thought too ....... but then he would have to be slamming on his brakes all the time for this to happen (like you said), which is kinda unlikely, unless he's a crazy driver.

Well if the rear brakes are over adjusted than the ABS might compinsate for that, so even if you applied light pressure it could lock up.

Kind of like my old 70 Ford Falcon, man that pile of crap had drum brakes all the way around, it was great fun in the rain, the left rear and right front would lock up and a send you a spinning
