Is it hard to tighten a pulley ?

So my car has been making a weird rubbing vibrating noise when at idle...not constant just very often, and once you give it gas it disappears, so me and my buddy did some tests, and it looks like one of the pulley's is loose or something of that sort, cause when it drives, doesnt the belt straighten and make the pulley's contract...anyway can a person like me fix this...or is it better to bring it to a dealer ?

box wrenches or sockets are your friend...

its not that hard.. depends on which pully yer talkin about.. but basicly just loosen the bolt that runs through the pully or the one thats on the arm the holds the pully... push/pull on it to make it tighter.. and thats about it... yer not tryin to snap the belt.. jsut take out the slack.. if you have to move the pully/arm more than like 1/4 of an inch you need a new belt

but again.. i dont know yer ability.. my guess is you know someone that can do this.. usuially this person is yer dad or something like that...
