Clutch Alignment Problem
Clutch Alignment Problem
So I bought my 04 DX coupe used. And later found out there was an accident on te left front fender that was worse than originally thought. Anyway, there are a few problems, the hood is off alignment on the left side, but more importantly my clutch is out of alignment.
It rubs against the hole through the firewall and I have tried using lithium grease but even that is not enough. So I have a feeling it is totally off alignment. Can I fix this? Or should I take it to the shop? It's under warranty but Honda won't cover it. Any ideas?

are you saying that because it sqeaks and you feel resistance letting off of the pedal? if so, it aint due to the wreck, 7thgens have have that problem since 01.
Yea that is what I've got. But the Honda guy claimed the clutch wasn't aligned. But he was kind of a doushe. :P For example he wouldn't look at my radio because there were scratches on the dash...But has anyone come up with a solution to the squeeknig it is really annoying, but I'm sure alot of you know. Any good spots to lubriate the clutch?
I am really confused, how is your clutch rubbing the firewall. The clutch is in the transhousing. Go to the slave cylinder and put a bunch of grease on where the pin of the slave cylinder goes and meets with the level which in turns goes to the throwout bearing. Without pulling the trans you cant get to the other places to grease.
