Hey fellas. I need some help here. I am new to cars and my check engine light came on so i went to autozone to get it read and the code back back "P1456" x 2, there was 2 codes and both codes were P1456. It read manufacturer controlled auxiliary emission controls. I don't know what that means but on the OBD II code sticky, it was emission control system leak. Is this serious or can i just leave it alone? If i need to fix it, what would i tell the mechanic? IM sorry for the newbie question but any help is appreciated. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

with that code, first check your gas cap. make sure it wasnt left off. If it isnt a honda gas cap then replace it with a honda gas cap.

thanks alot, i'll check it out. autozone shut off the light, if it stays off i think the gas cap will be the culprit. thanks alot
