Squeek from rear window area

I have a 2005 Civic EX, for the past couple of weeks or so, I notice a squeek coming from the rear of the car behind the passenger seats by the rear window inside. The best way for me to describe how it sounds is like youre walking on a wooden floor and get that squeek. It's not that loud though.

It only happens when driving, but not constant squeeking.

This pic (not my car, just for illustration purposes) shows the general area where I believe the noise is coming from. It is somewhere on the right passenger side. Anyone have any ideas on what the source is?
My car is still under the warranty, should I just bring it to the dealer and let them test drive it and let them figure it out? Is this even covered by the warranty?
I just want to get some ideas to see if this is something I can fix myself. Its been so annoying hearing this sound.

After more careful listening by passengers in the back, it looks like the rattle/squeek is coming from the rear deck along various areas, probably by the corners.

The sound is very slight, you will not hear it when driving on the highway with the windows half open. Just normal driving on a residential street you can hear it coming from the rear.

Can someone let me know if the dealer will check this out and do whatever to fix it under the new vehicle warranty since my car is still under the 3 yr/36000 mile warranty? or will the dealer think im nuts when I bring it in for this issue?

I had a similar issue when I got my car. Ends up the speaker was a little loose. All I did was tighten it down.

My advice is start poking around a little while laying down in the trunk with the rear seats folded down. It shouldnt be too difficult to track down and it'll be quicker than running to the dealer.

Good luck!

I had the same problem with my old 02EX and it was the brake light lense on the rear deck was loose inside the housing. I fixed it with a piece of cardboard by jambing it up in there.

I tried stuffing insulation foam around the brake light housing but that didn't seem to be the cause since I drove it around after doing that & didn't make a difference.

I checked the speakers and jiggled them around, they seem to be secure in place.

Any other suggestions?

Im gonna bring it to the dealer tomorrow for warranty service and see if they can fix it. I gave up trying to locate the problem.

I came back from the dealer today. After 3 test drives (I requested to be riding with them since they did their own test drives (with A/C ON! and couldn't find a thing!), I rode with an actual mechanic later on with windows closed, A/C OFF! and I was told by the mechanic to bring it in on a weekday so they can further pinpoint the problem since they dont have enough time to do it on weekends. Finally! a mechanic acknowledges that there is a noise coming from the rear and told the service advisor. It seems to be coming from the speaker area or somewhere else where metal touches plastic? It creates a crackling sound? The noise is very low yet you can hear it and its annoying.

Anyway, they say it could take 2 hours or 2 weeks to figure out noises that arent really loud to stand out to point to a particular part.

Has anyone here had the dealer successfully solve any crackling noise from the rear deck? I mean am I just wasting my time or what?

Mine does that in the winter when i pull out of a driveway on a angle the body twists a little and it makes a cracking sound(pretty loud actually). As soon as the car heats up the sound gos away.
