Ok, as i was leaving a set of lights today i switched from first to second gear and my clutch pedal would not come back up from the floor, so i coasted for a bit and had a look but could not find the problem?

So to recap:

The car will start and run

I can switch gears while the car is OFF, but cannot while the car is on

I can pull the clutch pedal up and it will stay up, but the minute i depress it it stays down

My thoughts: slave cylinder, throw out bearing, cracked line?

ANY input would be great, anyone ever experience this before?

Did you check clutch fluid level?

turned out it was my slave cylinder

tore it right off the tranny, i have no clue how i did that?
