subframe alignment marks? Why?
I'm getting ready to do a manual tranny swap on a 2002 civic and the manual I have talks about marking the bolts on the subrame.
Can someone explain the purpose of marking the bolts?

only thing i can figure is it will keep the front wheels in perfect alighnment with the back. I am actually wondering the same thing though. I am almost finished with my swap and was unaware of making the marks, so i am kind of worried.

if you re-install it forward, rearward, or to one side or the other it can effect the frt end alignment. Should have the alignment checked afterwards
